SDRC and SDP questions, answered in plain English. Who qualifies for SDRC? People with developmental disabilities who live in San Diego County or Imperial County and meet SDRC eligibility rules. What is SDP? A program that lets eligible clients choose their own services and providers, within an Individual Budget, instead of using only traditional vendor services. Can SDP fund business coaching? It can, when the coaching fits an IPP goal, the Person-Centered Plan, the Individual Budget, and the Spending Plan. A code does not guarantee funding. What does an FMS do? It pays providers from the Individual Budget, keeps records, and handles taxes and reporting. Families are not billed directly for funded sessions. Is Caliminds Launchpad an SDRC vendor? No. Caliminds Launchpad is an independent provider chosen by families through SDP, based in Poway and serving all of San Diego County. Where can I check official details? SDRC at sdrc.org, the SDRC SDP page at sdrc.org/sdp, and the California Department of Developmental Services SDP page at dds.ca.gov/initiatives/sdp.
